Workshop on Teaching Computational Science 2023 | Paper submission until 3 February 2023

The Workshop on Teaching Computational Science 2023
(WTCS 2023), under the umbrella of the International Conference on Computational Science, will take place in Prague, Czech Republic on 3-5 July 2023.

Paper submission is now OPEN.

The organizers are looking for submissions that describe innovations in teaching computational science in its various aspects.

AMD GPU Hackathon, 7 and 14-16 March, 2023

This hackathon, which will be held in-person at KTH in Stockholm, is for teams of research software developers who want to accomplish one or more of the following goals:

1. Port their code to run on AMD Instinct™ GPUs using any of the GPU programming frameworks.
Improve the performance of code that already runs on AMD Instinct™ GPUs
Scale up their codes to multiple AMD Instinct™ GPUs

Huawei workshop on 17-19 January 2023

The workshop will be organised a hybrid event – onsite at Gottingen and also online.

The training workshop will focus on the following key learnings

Day 1. Implement, parallelise and optimise simulation applications on Arm-based clusters

Day 2. Implement and test a training and inference workflows using Arm CPUs and (in a second step) ML and inference accelerators

Day 3. Implement and test a micro-service for inference running on Arm CPUs and deployed on an Edge using Kubernetes/KubeEdge instance.

JUNIQ’s Spring School on Quantum Information Processing

The Jülich Supercomputing Centre will host the spring school on “Quantum Information Processing – Applications on Gate-based and Annealing Systems” from March 27 to March 31, 2023.
