HPC lab visited by Mr. Andonov – FUJITSU-BULGARIA

The focus of the meeting was  the upgrade of the NESTUM HPC cluster (FUJITSU based).
Mr. Andonov also informed the HPC team about the Fujitsu  technology to automatically generate new AI solutions specific to customers’ business needs.It has been decided to organise a seminar in the HPC lab – Sofia Tech Park on the topic. The exact date in February 2024  will be announced soon.

EUMaster4HPC related visit by an expert in Quantum Computing

The HPC lab team discusses the involvement of the VGG-Consulting (V. G. Gueorguiev, Ph.D.) in the EUMaster4HPC
program as a mentor of the masters enrolled in the HPC program (Sofia University, University of Luxembourg)

Dr. Gueorguiev has been a Quantum Computing Mentor at the Quantum Open Source Foundation and the QWorld summer QIntern programs.
Dr. V. Gueorguiev is currently affiliated with the Ronin Institute, NJ, USA and the Institute for Advanced Physical Studies, Sofia, Bulgaria.
He does research in Nuclear Physics, Theoretical Physics, and Mathematical Physics.

EUMaster4HPC trains students on cutting-edge knowledge in HPC and HPC-related technologies taught by the best European specialists in HPC education.
A sustainable network of different stakeholder involving universities, research centres, supercomputing centres (SCCs), private organisations, industry experts, centres of excellences (CoEs) and HPC-related entities.
Eligible students* will be awarded a scholarship from the EUMaster4HPC program to support expenses inherent to the programme (travel and accommodation).
